Gambrinus
Opened in 1936 as a delicatessen and cold meats shop before becoming a beer hall and restaurant, and for most of the last century the counter was where political, cultural and business Lisbon kept a standing place. Fish and shellfish carry the menu, with a wine and beer list to match, and very thin toast with butter lands the moment anyone sits down. One of the Rua das Portas de Santo Antão addresses recognised as a Loja com História.
