Cervejaria Trindade
The dining room is the church, cloister and refectory of a Trinitarian convent that stood for eight centuries, bought in 1836 by the Galician industrialist Manuel Moreira Garcia and turned into the Fábrica da Cerveja da Trindade. A counter selling beer directly to the public opened in 1840, and the azulejo panels, arcades and Maria Keil calçada work are still what the room is organised around. The house splits into zones, including a petiscaria with a marble counter, so it works equally for a standing imperial and a full mariscada.
