Laugarás Lagoon

The newest bathing site on the Golden Circle, built near the bank of the Hvítá in the small village of Laugarás rather than in a town. It is run as a wellness destination with geothermal water, which puts it in a different category from the roadside hot pots elsewhere on this list: changing rooms, staff, and an admission system. Useful as a warm end to a day at Gullfoss and Geysir, both within short driving distance.
