Kernkraftwerk Würgassen
An AEG boiling water reactor on the Weser, in commercial operation from November 1975 and shut down on 26 August 1994 after a mean availability of just 71.9 percent, which makes it the oldest dismantling project on this list by a wide margin. The federal regulator BASE counts it among the most advanced teardowns in the country; the reactor pressure vessel internals were cut under contract to Areva, and clearance of the site is scheduled to run to 2028.
