Kernkraftwerk Brunsbüttel
The KWU Baulinie 69 boiling water reactor was off line from July 2007 and never restarted before its operating licence lapsed in the 2011 moratorium, leaving it with 57.9 percent mean availability over its working life, the lowest of the German fleet. Schleswig-Holstein approved demolition in December 2018 and a further permit covers the final dismantling work, with the site to be cleared by 2033. Vattenfall is building a battery storage installation on the ground where the reactor stood.
