Marion Mahony Griffin Beach

Three blocks of shoreline between Jarvis at 7400 North and Fargo at 7432 North, still widely called Jarvis Beach. Offshore riprap takes the wave energy and is the reason sand persists here at all. The Park District named it in 2015 for the architect, who lived near this shore after returning from Australia in 1939.
