Cyclone Kalunde (2003)
On 12 March the cyclone passed 55 km from Rodrigues Island, and around that time the Joint Typhoon Warning Center reported winds of 100 km/h. Damage on Rodrigues came to US$3.15 million, and power outages across the island delayed residents' access to information about the storm. The French Red Cross afterwards supplied 1.5 tons of supplies to approximately 10,000 people affected.
