Cyclone Hary (2002)
Conditions favoured rapid organisation on 7 March, when the system developed an eye and well-defined outflow. It re-intensified to peak winds of 220 km/h on 10 March just offshore of eastern Madagascar, the first very intense tropical cyclone of the South-West Indian Ocean since 2000. Land interaction then weakened it, and it struck Madagascar southeast of Antalaha.
