Quasimodo

The club sits in the basement of the Delphi Filmpalast, reached by stone steps off Kantstraße, and the cellar was a party venue long before the programming turned to jazz in the late 1960s. Under Giorgio Carioti from 1975 it became an international booking: Chet Baker, Dizzy Gillespie, Maceo Parker, Branford Marsalis, Pat Metheny, and also Prince, Chaka Khan and Nigel Kennedy, half of whom are on the walls in photographs. New management took over in 2017 and Initiative Musik named it Venue of the Year in 2019. There is no step-free way in.
