Typhoon Bopha (2012)

Named Pablo by PAGASA, Bopha was a compact system that held a small, well-defined eye as a Category 4 storm on 1 December, lost it, then re-formed it the next day. It first struck Palau, destroying houses, disrupting communications and causing power outages, flooding and uprooted trees. Late on 3 December it made landfall on Mindanao with winds of 175 mph, then crossed Davao Oriental and Davao de Oro before moving through southern and central Mindanao, cutting power to two provinces and triggering landslides.
