The Hub

Built in 1842 to 1844 as the Tollbooth Church, to house the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, and taken over by the Festival in 1999 as its central box office, information centre and offices. It also works as a venue in its own right, holding 420, and as the festival club. The 240-foot spire on Castlehill, just below the Castle, is the highest point in central Edinburgh outside the Castle itself.
