Royal Lyceum Theatre

Opened in 1883 and used by the Festival since 1947, almost entirely for drama. The 658-seat house is Edinburgh's principal producing theatre for the rest of the year, which is why the Festival's spoken-word work lands here rather than at the larger lyric stages. It stands directly south of the Usher Hall on Grindlay Street.
