Queen's Hall

A chapel converted to a concert hall in 1979 and now the performance home of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, seating around 920 under the old galleries. On the Festival calendar it is the morning room: chamber recitals and smaller orchestral programmes, scheduled early in the day rather than against the evening concerts at the Usher Hall. The church acoustic is the reason the recitals are put here and not on a larger stage.
