T-Centralen

Per Olof Ultvedt's blue leaves and creepers cover the cave walls of the Blue Line platform, along with silhouettes of the workers who dug it, and it was the first commissioned station art on the network when it opened in 1975. The Blue platform is several floors below the concourse, through a run of tunnels and escalators, so allow around ten minutes from the entrance rather than expecting to walk straight onto it. The Red and Green platforms are the 1957 originals with geometric tile patterns, which is what most arrivals see first and mistake for the art.
