Seattle's public library branches
Map of 17 locations in Seattle, Washington
Seattle's branches do not share a timetable. Each one picks its own dark day and its own two late evenings, so the fact that decides a trip is which afternoon a branch opens at noon instead of ten, and which day it does not open at all. Running underneath that is the seismic retrofit programme on the 1910s Carnegie buildings, which has already taken one branch out of service into late 2026 and is on the August levy for two more.
