Douglass-Truth Branch
This is the branch with the Library's extensive African American collection, housed alongside a wing added in 2006. It opened life as the Yesler Branch, was at one point in danger of closing, and was renamed in 1975 for Frederick Douglass and Sojourner Truth. Check the day before you go: in past schedule reductions it was Saturdays that came off the calendar here.
