Marché de La Chapelle

Auguste-Joseph Magne built this cast iron and iron hall between 1883 and 1885 for food and nothing else, on a site where a cattle and dairy market had been moved earlier in the century. It is one storey under the glass, and locals still call it the marché de l'Olive after the street. Trading splits around the afternoon closure, Tuesday to Friday 09:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 19:30, with Sunday running 08:30 to 13:30.
