Halle Secrétan

Victor Baltard built this hall in 1868 with a Polonceau-type metal truss, the same structural language he used for Les Halles, and it was listed as a historic monument in 1982. Originally the Marché de La Villette, it was renovated between 2013 and 2015 with the glazing rebuilt, and reopened as a covered market over two levels. The trade is food and eating, under the restored roof rather than beside it.
