Museu Nacional Honestino Guimarães

A white dome on a raised platform, opened in 2006 as half of the Cultural Complex of the Republic with the Biblioteca Nacional Leonel de Moura Brizola. It holds no permanent collection and programmes temporary art exhibitions instead, which is why the interior is a single uninterrupted volume crossed by ramps. Admission is free and the building is wheelchair accessible.
