Antica Pizzeria Port'Alba

Opened in 1738 on the bookshop alley as a stand baking flatbreads on heated stones carried down from Vesuvius, and only put in tables and chairs in 1830, which is the date usually cited for the world's first sit-down pizzeria. It stayed a place for people who work nearby: most pizzas fall between €7 and €10, with the pistachio-and-shrimp testardo at €15 as the outlier. Ferdinand of Bourbon is on the list of early customers.
