Hogarth's House

The painter and satirist used this as his country house in the eighteenth century and built himself a studio at the bottom of the garden. The collection shown inside is largely prints, including the sequential series such as A Rake's Progress, together with engraving plates. The building is Grade I listed, entry is free, and it opens Tuesday to Sunday afternoons; step access limits the route in places.
