Palazzo Bianco

Palazzo Bianco was built between 1530 and 1540, and guides to the system describe it as the oldest of the Rolli palaces. Its original owner is recorded in its other name, the palace of Luca Grimaldi. It now works mainly as a picture gallery rather than a furnished residence. The collection runs from the 15th to the 18th century and covers Ligurian, Venetian, Lombard, Flemish and Spanish painting, including Caravaggio's Ecce Homo. A corridor links it directly to Palazzo Doria Tursi next door, and one Strada Nuova ticket covers both along with Palazzo Rosso.
