Früh am Dom
Founded in 1904 as a Hausbrauerei beside the Heinzelmännchenbrunnen, in the cathedral's shadow, and still run personally by the fifth generation of the founding family. With 1,500 seats inside and 400 on the terrace it is one of the largest Wirtshäuser in Germany, and the cooking is still done from scratch. The convention is to drink your Früh Kölsch standing in the entrance, next to the wooden cask it is tapped from.
