Soetwater Tidal Pool

Two pools on the exposed coast below the Slangkop Lighthouse at Kommetjie, inside the Soetwater Recreational Area, which was proclaimed a conservancy in 2009 and is managed by the City of Cape Town. The main basin, sometimes called the Infinity Pool, sits between rock and sand with a shallow separate section for children; the second pool stands near the environmental centre. A dense kelp bed lies just offshore, and picnic and braai facilities are alongside. About an hour from the city, at the southwestern end of the Peninsula.
