El Beso

A small, formal room off Riobamba where the codes are still enforced: a dress code at the door and a crowd of experienced tangueros who expect the cabeceo rather than a spoken invitation. Lessons are scheduled before each milonga opens, which is the polite way in for anyone not yet ready for the floor, with Saturday classes in the afternoon and again at 20:00. Guides place it variously in Almagro and Balvanera; the address is the same either way.
