Confitería Ideal

A Belle Epoque confitería a short walk from Avenida Corrientes, with marble columns, chandeliers and balconies that let non-dancers watch the floor from above. The ground-floor bar opens at 08:00 and stays open through the day; the tango orchestras are upstairs on the first floor, playing afternoon, evening and night sessions that run to 03:00. The split matters: downstairs is coffee, upstairs is the ballroom.
