Kleiner Bunkerberg

The smaller of the two hills in Volkspark Friedrichshain, and like its larger neighbour it is a wartime flak installation, in this case the fire-control tower, buried under debris. Together the pair account for around 2.5 million cubic metres of rubble. The concrete is still down there under the trees, which is why the park's contours run the way they do.
