Bibbulmun Track
The walking trail runs through the South West region of Western Australia from Kalamunda, in the Perth hills, to Albany on the south coast, where the southern terminus sits. It is the longest walking trail in Western Australia and one of the best-known long trails in the country. An original route was laid out in 1974 and the track was officially opened in October 1979 as part of Western Australia's 150th year celebrations, marked by the 900 km Bibbulmun Walk '79; realignments and extensions by volunteers and government representatives brought it to its present length.
