Atlantic hurricanes of category 4 and above in the 2008 to 2016 seasons

Map of 15 locations in North Atlantic

A historical record of the Atlantic storms that reached Category 4 or stronger on the Saffir-Simpson scale between the 2008 and 2016 seasons, drawn from the catalogue's track data. Each is mapped as the whole line of its track rather than a single point, from the wave or disturbance that spawned it to the last fix. Some crossed Haiti, Cuba, Texas or Bermuda; others peaked in open water and reached land only as swell or as a post-tropical system over Europe.
