Atlantic hurricanes of category 4 and above in the 2000 to 2007 seasons

Map of 18 locations in North Atlantic

Between the 2000 and 2007 seasons the North Atlantic produced a run of cyclones that reached the top two steps of the Saffir-Simpson scale, some of them staying out over open water and others crossing Belize, Cuba, the Yucatán, Bermuda, Nicaragua and the Gulf and Atlantic coasts of the United States. Each entry is a historical storm drawn on the map as its full track rather than a single point, with the dates, peak category and peak one-minute wind taken from the catalogue. The descriptions set out intensification, landfall and reported damage and casualties as the sources recorded them at the time.
