Het Sieraad
Built as the city's Vierde Ambachtsschool, the fourth trade school, to a design by A.J. Westerman, with the Kostverlorenvaart on two sides and the massing stepped across the corner in the manner the style is known for. The two materials the Amsterdam School depended on, brick and wrought iron, carry the whole entrance front. Dating differs between records: the city's architecture guide gives 1921, the Dutch heritage listing for the building gives 1926. It is a national monument (Rijksmonument 527153) and still in educational and cultural use.
