Strandbad Angelibad

Swimming here is in the Alte Donau itself rather than a tank: beach, jetty, baby pool and sunbathing terraces on the upper arm of the old river in Floridsdorf. The city built a barrier-free water entry as part of its investment programme, and the site keeps a wheelchair, two loungers, a ramp and two reserved parking spaces. Reach it from U6 Neue Donau on foot, about 700 metres, or by the 20B and 31A buses; the Birnersteg footbridge puts both banks in play. Under-sevens do not pay.
