SZENE Salzburg

The former Stadtkino, later the Republic, taken on as a drama venue when the festival's expansion through the 1990s outgrew the houses in the Festspielbezirk. It runs as an arts centre year-round and hosts its own contemporary performance festival, Sommerszene, in June, before the summer programme arrives.
