Allianz Arena
Opened in 2005, when it took FC Bayern and the bulk of Munich's football away from the Olympiastadion, the arena is one of the venues carried over into the revised bid concept. The shorter-distance plan for the two football tournaments pairs it with Nürnberg, Augsburg and Stuttgart and adds the Grünwalder Straße ground, the Olympiastadion for selected group games, and Ingolstadt, dropping the more distant stadiums so that every football squad can be housed in the Olympic Village.
