The venues of Munich's Olympic bid

Map of 4 locations in Munich, Germany

Munich is bidding for the Summer Games on a promise of distance rather than construction: nine tenths of the venues within half an hour of the Olympic Village, and about half of all sports on the 1972 park alone. These are the sites the published concept actually names, with what each one is being asked to hold and what it already was. Two were built for Games that happened; two are borrowed, one of them a beer-festival field and one a baroque palace.
