Chateau Marmont

The hotel above Sunset Boulevard opened in 1929 and guards its guests' privacy closely enough that it is rarely lent to film crews. It supplies the establishing shots of Mia's stay five years on, while the interior of her suite was filmed at Orcutt Ranch on Roscoe Boulevard in Canoga Park. The restaurant is the part of the building most easily reached without a reservation upstairs.
