Cathy's Corner

The bend on Mount Hollywood Drive where Mia and Sebastian tap through "A Lovely Night" is a working fire road turnout in Griffith Park, looking out over the San Fernando Valley. The bench and the street lamp in the shot were built by the production and taken away afterwards, so the corner reads as bare asphalt and a guardrail. The number was filmed in a single unbroken take, which the crew finally landed on the third night of shooting.
