Zeche Zollern

The corner turrets and battlements earned the colliery the nickname Schloss der Arbeit, and the machine hall with its Art Nouveau portal became the test case: the route's guide records the citizens' campaign that kept the building standing as a monument. A regional-studies account of the route names Zollern II/IV, with the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord and Zollverein, as one of three sites holding the complete route information material. It sits on node 59 of the radrevier.ruhr cycle network.
