Tensta

The word for brotherhood appears in eighteen languages across these walls, set among stylised birds, animals and plants in jewel colours by the sibling artists Helga Henschen and Lars Henschen. The piece took over a year to design and paint, and it was made as a greeting to a district that has long housed new arrivals to Sweden. Tensta is on the Hjulsta branch of the Blue Line, about twenty minutes from T-Centralen, which means changing at Västra skogen if you have come from the Akalla side.
