Cyclone Gonu (2007)
Gonu developed from a persistent area of convection in the eastern Arabian Sea on 1 June. Dry air and cooler water weakened the system before it made landfall late on 5 June on the easternmost tip of Oman. Damage in Oman reached about 4.2 billion 2007 US dollars, and the remnants brought a further 215 million dollars in damage to Iran.
