Sounds of the Universe

The business began as a market stall in Camden Town before taking the Broadwick Street shop in the early 1990s; the same owner founded Soul Jazz Records, and the shop and the label have run alongside each other ever since. Regular shipments from abroad feed what the owner claims is the UK's largest stock of disco, funk, soul, reggae, dubstep, house, Brazilian, Latin and African records. Grime and dubstep 12-inches sit in the same room as cosmic disco reissues.
