Kotiharjun Sauna
The last wood-heated public sauna in Helsinki, running without interruption since 1928 in Kallio, a few minutes' walk from Sörnäinen metro station. The stoves are fired once before opening rather than stoked through the session, which is why the heat shifts over the course of an evening. No reservations are taken for the shared sides; private saunas can be booked separately, and the street-level steps mean the building is not step-free.
