Hurricane Lane (2018)
Lane began as an area of low pressure well southwest of Mexico on 13 August and was the first of three Category 5 hurricanes in the 2018 Pacific season. Between 22 and 26 August it brought torrential rain and strong winds to much of the Hawaiian Windward Islands, setting off flash flooding and mudslides.
