St Michael Cornhill
Rebuilt to Wren's design between 1669 and 1672 on a site easily missed from the street, the church is reached through St Michael's Alley off Cornhill. Its tower held one of the first rings of twelve bells in London, in place before St Mary-le-Bow was augmented to twelve in 1881. The war memorial outside, carved by Richard Reginald Goulden and erected in 1920, was listed Grade II* in its own right in December 2016.
