St Clement Eastcheap
Wren's rebuilding of the Candlewick ward church began in 1683 and was finished in 1687, and it survived the Blitz in its original form. The entrance is at 27 Clements Lane, set back from the street behind the plain facade that gives nothing away about the interior. It is a Church of England parish church listed Grade I since 1950.
