Tomba Brion
Onorina Brion Tomasin commissioned the burial ground for herself and her husband Giuseppe Brion, the entrepreneur who founded Brionvega, and Scarpa built it between 1968 and 1978 as an L-shaped extension of about 2,000 square metres wrapped around the existing municipal cemetery of San Vito d'Altivole. The structure is large poured concrete carrying mosaic details and inserts of glass and bronze, set among lawns and shallow pools so that the water surfaces answer the mass of the concrete. It sits in open countryside a short distance from Asolo, with the old village cemetery still in use alongside it.
