Museo di Castelvecchio
Scarpa reworked the Scaliger castle into a museum from the mid-1950s onward, a job dated 1956 to 1964 in the standard list of his works and carried on with further interventions until 1974. The display itself is the architecture here: the mountings, floor levels, openings cut through old masonry and the route around the courtyard were designed as part of the collection, and his original drawings are kept by the museum. It is run by the Comune di Verona and entry is ticketed, cash or card, with no booking required.
