Palatinus
The capital's oldest open-air beach bath, on Margaret Island, opened officially in 1921, and it is still among the first municipal strands to unlock each season, in the last days of April. The children's end is more than a paddling pool: shallow water under shade sails, water toys, playgrounds and a baby-changing room. Entry is paid, and the four-person family ticket is only sold with at least two children on it.
