Victoria Baths
The Hathersage Road complex opened in 1906 with a Turkish baths suite inside it and closed in 1993. The Manchester Victoria Baths Trust has since reopened part of the building for tours, exhibitions and festivals, and intends to bring the whole site, Turkish baths included, back into public use; Malcolm Shifrin notes that roofs and structure have had to come first because the Turkish bath is one element of a very large public baths. Entry is free and guided tours are charged, on Wednesdays from April to September.
