Health Hydro
The Great Western Railway Medical Fund Society built these baths on Milton Road in 1891 to architect JJ Smith's design, funded by subscriptions from railway workers, and added the Turkish baths in 1904-05. Historic Pools of Britain records them as the longest continually operating Victorian-style Turkish baths in the UK, with an exposed timber roof structure, glazed brickwork and a terrazzo floor. The Grade II* building reopened on 19 January 2026 after the first phase of major restoration works, with further phases planned.
